Loïc Duval joins TDS Racing for the 2018-2019 Super-Season

After aligning Matthieu Vaxivière, François Perrodo and Emmanuel Collard in 2017 in WEC, TDS Racing will reshuffle its crew in preparation for the 2018-2019 Super-Season of the World ChampionshipEndurance.

Emmanuel Collard will in fact be replaced in the Oreca 07 LM P2 of Xavier Combet’s team by Loïc duval, former resident of Audi Sport Team Joest in LM P1. The Frenchman, pilot of the brand with the rings in DTM in 2017, will return to a full WEC program next year after having contested the Bahrain final this season with G-Drive Racing.

“I am very happy to make my return to the WEC and to the 24 Hours of Le Mans in parallel with my Audi program, and delighted with the environment in which I find myself: a professional but family team in which we will have a lot of fun, admits Duval.

Thank you François and Matthieu for the opportunity. I can't wait to do battle in LM P2, a category which showed us some superb battles in 2017, and to achieve our common objectives. »

If Loïc Duval's DTM program were to extend into 2018, the native of Chartres (Eure-et-Loir) would however have to deal with a clash of dates between the first WEC event and that of the DTM, both scheduled for the weekend. end of May 5, 2018.

The Vaxivière – Perrodo – Collard trio, for their part, offered themselves a podium at the opening of the WEC this year, and the arrival of Loïc Duval could allow TDS Racing to play the leading roles throughout the season.

“The 2017 season was marked by the continued progress of our drivers François and Matthieu, by the consolidation of learning to drive and manage the car and the discipline, comments Xavier Combet.

Building on this acquired experience, and with the firm desire to progress further, we decided together to take off again in 2018, by participating in the WEC Super Season.

Associated with Loïc Duval, who has extensive experience in the discipline, this second year in the world endurance championship for the TDS Racing team promises to be exciting and dynamic, we can't wait to return to the world circuits and to confront the other crews in the LMP2 category. »
