Mikhail Aleshin returns with SMP Racing

After completing the 2016 season ofIndyCar in 15th place, Mikhail Aleshin will complete his program by competing in the last three events of the WEC with SMP Racing. The Schmidt Peterson Motorsports driver took seventh place in the LMP2 class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans alongside Nicolas Minassian and Maurizio Mediani.

“I’m happy to get back behind the wheel of the BR01, commented Mikhail Aleshin who will return to action the weekend of October 16 with the 6 Hours of Fuji (Japan). This car is our baby that we have been working on since 2014 and I will continue the work, constantly trying to improve it. There are still three races to go and we are counting on achieving solid results. »

SMP Racing will play the places of honor, Signatech-Alpine with a large lead in the LMP2 standings.
