New extension at United Autosports, Phil Hanson returns for 2023

One contract extension hid another. A week after Filipe Albuquerque, it was Phil Hanson who signed a new lease with United Autosports. Winner of 24 Hours of Le Mans 2020 in the LMP2 category with the Portuguese on the No. 07 Oreca 22, the Englishman will continue the adventure within the Wakefield team for a 4^e campaign WEC consecutive.

In the ranks of United Autosports since 2018, Phil Hanson has enjoyed great success. Along with Paul di Resta and Filipe Albuquerque, the Sunningdale native scored 4 victories in a row between Bahrain at the end of 2019 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2020, making them the only trio in the history of LMP2 to have achieved such a performance. .
