Olivier Pla (Glickenhaus) appreciates the Spa-Francorchamps circuit (Belgium). In 2018, an incredible overtake in Eau Rouge allowed him to win the GTE Pro class in a Ford GT. Four years later, he took overall pole position for the 6 2022 Hours of Spa.

“The car was set up very well”, explained the 40-year-old Toulouse, who at the same time offers the first pole to the Team Cameron Glickenhaus. “Honestly, I made a small mistake during my first flying lap, at the La Source corner, where I missed the rope and went wide of the corner. But the main thing is to be on pole.

I'm super happy for Jim (Glickenhaus, the founder of the team. Ed.), for Joest Racing (which provides logistics and technical support. Editor’s note), Podium Advanced Technologies (development manager. Editor’s note) et Pipo (responsible for the twin-turbo V6 engine. Editor’s note).

We are a small team, with a very low budget compared to other structures. We only do a few test sessions, we try to improve as best we can because we are still discovering the car. We must therefore not forget to thank the people who work hard on this program.

Saturday we're going to do our race, like we did at Sebring. We want to win, we know it won't be easy, but we will do everything to make it a reality. »
