We now know all the participants in the 24 2022 Hours of Le Mans

It’s all fresh, it’s all hot! A little more than months after the first, the Automobile Club de l'Ouest published a second list of entries for the 90^e edition of 24 Hours of Le Mans. This new version reports 62 cars (plus 4 reserves) for a total of 186 drivers.

In Hypercar, there are no big surprises. Only five cars are planned for the 90th Le Mans classic with the two GR010s from Toyota,Alpine A480 as well as the two Glickenhaus 007s lined up together for the first time this year.

It is in LMP2 that some new features have been seen. Tristan Vautier, absent when the first entry list was published last March, is among the drivers in the category. The winner of the 12 2021 Hours of Sebring will be in the No. 07 Oreca 44 from Bratislava where he will be associated with Miroslav Konopka and Ben Viscaal, a time announced at TDS Racing where he was finally replaced by Tijmen van der Helm. The latter therefore finds Philippe Cimadomo and Mathias Beche with whom he participated in the first round of the season of theELMS at Paul Ricard. At COOL Racing, Nicolas lapierre will obviously not be there given his commitment to Hypercar with Alpine. The Frenchman will be replaced by Ricky Taylor.

Note that Roman Rusinov, who decided not to sign the FIA ​​document asking Russian drivers to compete under neutral banner after Russia invaded Ukraine, was replaced in the trio of the N°07 Oreca 47 from Algarve Pro Racing. It's Jack Aitken, driver who started in the Grand Prix (Sakhir 2020 for Williams), who was called to accompany Sophia Floersch and John Falb.

In LMGTE Pro, Daniel Serra and Davide Rigon have finally been confirmed by AF Corse. The first will be on the Ferrari 488 GTE EVO No. 51, the second on the No. 52. They will be supported respectively by Alessandro Pier Guidi and James Calado, and Miguel Molina and Antonio Fuoco.

In LMGTE Am, Iron Lynx will field three Ferrari 488 GTE EVOs in Sarthe with the following trios: Schiavoni-Balzan-Gianmaria (No. 60), Ehret-Hook-Varrone (No. 75) and Cressoni-Fisichella-Helstand (N °80). Concerning the Iron Dames crew, it has not changed and Rahel Frey, Michelle Gatting and Sarah Bovy will be at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2022.

Initially planned in Hypercar with the 9×8 of Peugeot , Mikkel Jensen will still compete in the 90th edition. The Dane will be seen in the No. 488 Kessel Racing Ferrari 57 GTE EVO. He will team up with Takeshi Kimura and Frederik Schandorff.

Finally, 4 cars appear in the list of reservists: theAston Martin of TF Sport (LMGTE Am), the Porsche of Absolute Racing (LMGTE Am) and the Ferrari of Rinaldi Racing (LMGTE Am) as well as the Oreca 07 of High Class Racing in LMP2. In this last figure Kevin Magnussen, pilot for Haas en F1. If the Danish team participates in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Dane should not participate since the Azerbaijan Grand Prix takes place on the same weekend, unless he decides not to compete in it.
