Oreca with Minassian and Gené at Road Atlanta

At the end of the month, Team ORECA-Matmut will travel to Road Atlanta to compete in the Petit Le Mans. An event which will mark the team's return to competition and its reunion with the United States after its victory at the 12 Hours of Sebring at the start of the season. For this classic of theEndurance, Peugeot 908 HDi FAP n°10 will be entrusted to a unique trio: Nicolas lapierre will be associated with Nicolas Minassian and Marc Gené.

“This crew, fast and experienced, underlines the cohesion between Peugeot Sport and Team ORECA-Matmut”, declares Hugues de Chaunac. « Loïc duval being selected by its SUPER GT program, we wanted to have two drivers who knew the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP. Two men who had also previously ridden at Road Atlanta. This is the case with Nicolas Minassian and Marc Gené, who will form an excellent trio with Nicolas Lapierre. »

The three drivers of Team ORECA-Matmut have already participated in Petit Le Mans. Nicolas Lapierre finished 5th in 2009, with the ORECA 01. Marc Gené took the second step of the podium in 2010. Nicolas Minassian had the same result twice, in 2008 and 2009, taking pole that same year. It will be a return to his roots for the Marseillais, who defended the colors of ORECA on several occasions, in 2000 and 2002 in particular.
