Acura driver in ALMS in the Ferran Motorsports Team since the start of the 2008 season, simon pagenaud participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans last year with the Oreca team accompanied by Panis and Fassler without seeing the finish.

“It’s a great opportunity,” underlines Simon Pagenaud. ?It?s certainly one of the best I?ve ever had! It's all the more important to me since the first time I went to watch the 24 Hours of Le Mans, I was 9 years old. It was 1993, the year of the triumph of the 905! I'm really looking forward to driving the 908 HDi FAP and joining Franck and Stéphane for the Spa race. »

Simon Pagenaud will be at the wheel of the 908 HDi FAP at Spa-Francorchamps where he will replace Sébastien Bourdais, retained by the Team Toro Rosso for the Spanish Grand Prix.

“We expect him to be ready for any eventuality and to help us prepare for Le Mans, a race he knows having competed in last year,” adds Olivier Quesnel. “With the experience of the 908 after its runs, we decided to make Simon available to Pescarolo Sport to drive the Peugeot at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. »
