Paolo Ruberti withdraws from Le Mans

Paolo Ruberti will not participate in the 84th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans June 18 and 19. The Italian initially entered in the Larbre Compétition Corvette C7R alongside Pierre Ragues and Yutaka Yamagishi suffered a fracture of the lumbar vertebra following an accident which occurred while training a driver on the Hockenheim circuit.

“We encountered a technical problem with the brakes of the car I was in”, explained Paolo Ruberti on social networks. “I went straight into the wall at around 200 km/h. The pilot I was training is also by my side (in hospital) but fortunately he does not suffer any fractures. I had surgery, but my general condition is good. »

“Unfortunately, this means that I will not be able to participate in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. I am still relieved that my injuries are not more serious and I hope to recover quickly”, said pilot Larbre.

The team has not yet announced Paolo Ruberti's replacement for the Le Mans classic.
