Peugeot - ACO: summit meeting tomorrow

This second day of weighing for the 24 Hours of Le Mans was marked by the rumor of a complaint filed by Peugeot against Audi. Ultimately, no proceedings were initiated. At the initiative of the ACO, a meeting will be held tomorrow morning to try to resolve the conflict amicably.

The affair has been brewing since the revelation of the first photos of the Audi R15: according to Peugeot , the aerodynamics of Ingolstadt's latest creation would not comply with technical regulations.

Today, the rumor of a claim has grown. Nothing happened, but it could well be the calm before the storm. According to our information, Jean-Claude Plassart, the President of the ACO, invited Olivier Quesnel to a meeting this morning at 9 a.m.

What will come out of it? Probably not much, as Audi is certainly not ready to modify the aerodynamics of its R15s at the last minute. Opposite, Peugeot seems certain of the technical non-compliance of its opponent.

If no agreement was found, Olivier Quesnel would officially file his complaint. Which would undoubtedly be rejected by the college of sports commissioners of the meeting. The case would then be judged in a few weeks by the FIA appeal tribunal.
