Peugeot fights back

Alexander Wurz got off to a fantastic start. He overtook the No. 18 R1 of Allan McNish and the No. 3 of Timo Bernhard, who spun, to take 1st place and get ahead of the No. 2 Audi of André Lotterer.

Sébastien’s 908 n°9 Bourdais occupies 5th place just behind the three R18s (placed in order of their number) led by Timo Bernhard. It is followed by the other 908 n°8 of Franck Montagny. There Peugeot 908 HDI FAP Oreca n°10 Loïc duval was in 7th place before his pit stop. Christophe Tinseau, who has not yet refueled, recovers it with his Pescarlo Judd n°16.

The #11 Greaves Motorsport Nissan Zytek Z41SN Nissan leads the LMP2 category ahead of the #03 Boutsen Energy Racing Oreca 45 Nissan driven by Nicolas de Crem.
