Porsche returns to the 24 Hours of Le Mans

This project should see the light of day for the 81st edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans which will take place in 2014. Matthias Muller, the president of Porsche, does not hide his ambitions. “Motorsport has always been part of the Porsche brand. So for us it was only a matter of time before we got back to the top of the race. Porsche's victories at Le Mans are unmatched. We want to continue this by achieving a 17th victory. »

The engine has not yet been announced, but it could be a hybrid gasoline technology to compete with diesel, a technique chosen by the two major current manufacturers of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
