Porsche keeps control in the Prologue

After Neel jani, it is the turn of Romain Dumas to sign the reference time of the Prologue of WEC disputé au Paul-Ricard (Var) au volant de la Porsche 919 Hybrid n°2. L’ancien vainqueur des 24 Hours of Le Mans completed a lap of the Castellet circuit in 1'37"960, three tenths less than his Swiss teammate.

In LMP2, it was Nick Leventis who was the fastest with a time of 1'46"976 achieved at the wheel of the Gibson 015S-Nissan of Strakka Racing, three tenths less than the previous reference achieved by David Cheng on L'Alpine A460-Nissan n°35 this morning. Bruno Senna was the closest this afternoon, finishing almost six tenths behind in the RGR Sport by Morand Ligier JS P2-Nissan. SMP Racing completed the session's leading trio in the #01 SMP Racing BR37-Nissan.

AF Corse retained the lead in GTE Pro with a time of 1'58"479 achieved by Davide Rigon on the Ferrari 488 GTE n°71, almost seven tenths more than the morning benchmark achieved by Gianmaria Bruni. The Ford GTs were still the closest to the Prancing Horse cars. It was again Larbre Compétition which finished at the top of the GTE Am with a time of 1'58"957 set by Pierre Ragues, six tenths behind the first benchmark set by his teammate Paolo Ruberti.

The third practice session of the day will be held from 19 p.m. to 21 p.m.
