Porsche tests its new 911 RSR at Sebring

Porsche was present yesterday at Sebring to test the new 911 RSR which will defend the interests of the German brand during the next season of WEC with Team Manthey which will enter two cars. The Austrian Richard Lietz, who will be the teammate of the German Marc Lieb (and Romain Dumas at Silverstone, Spa and Le Mans) and the Frenchman Patrick Pilet, teammate of Joerg Bergmeister (and Timo Bernhard on the first three events of the season), were present at this session.

“We are very pleased with our testing so far.”, said Porsche sporting director Hartmut Kristen. “Our goal is to prepare ourselves well for the challenges of the highly competitive GTE category in the WEC and at Le Mans. The Sebring circuit was very suitable for testing a new car in demanding conditions. For this reason, a test at Sebring is very good training for one of the most difficult races of all, the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Until the season starts at Silverstone (April 14), we will carry out further testing sessions at other circuits to ensure that our 911 RSR is as well prepared as possible for the WEC season. »
