Portimão and Spa behind closed doors

Unsurprisingly, Portimão and Spa will not be able to welcome spectators this year. Given the current health situation and the resurgence of the pandemic, the organizers concerned and those of the WEC have decided that the two tests will take place behind closed doors. A decision taken in agreement with the ACO and the FIA.

« Taking into account the constraints linked to Covid-19 and the advice from Portugal and Belgium, we have decided to compete in our first two races behind closed doors. Unfortunately, there are still too many concerns about public health and safety.

We would like to thank everyone for the unconditional support and we are committed to providing as much spectacle as possible for our spectators who will stay at home through our various platforms ».

Portimão will host the testing days (March 30-31) before the opening race from April 2-4. The 6 Hours of Spa are scheduled from April 29 to May 1.
