Rebellion Racing in the lead mid-session in free practice

The two hours of running were reached in the first official session of the week of 24 Hours of Le Mans, session actuellement placée sous régime de drapeau rouge, suite à la sortie de la Porsche 911 RSR n°99 – Dempsey-Proton Racing de Tracy Krohn dans la ligne droite des Hunaudières. Le pilote américain va bien comme confirmé par l’ACO.

 

 

 

 

 

La première moitié de cette séance de quatre heures a vu la domination dans des conditions très changeantes en raison des averses, de la R13 n°3 – Rebellion Racing de Menezes – Laurent – Berthon, avec un meilleur chrono provisoire établi en 3’19″960, plus de neuf dixièmes devant la première Toyota TS050 Hybrid n°8 Buemi – Nakajima – Alonso.

The category then saw the second Toyota n°7 of Kamui Kobayashi make a mistake when braking at the Mulsanne corner, the Japanese pulling straight ahead, without however touching the barriers. The trio Jani – Lotterer – Senna (R13 n°1 – Rebellion Racing) and this same Toyota n°7 and the BR1 n°17 ​​– SMP Racing of Sarrazin – Orudzhev – Sirotkin completing the top 5.

At the end of two hours of running, DragonSpeed ​​led the LM P2 peloton with the No. 07 Oreca 31 of Maldonado – Gonzalez – Davidson, in the lead with a time of 3'28″730, 163 thousandths ahead of the No. 01 Aurus 26 - G-Drive Racing of Vergne – Rusinov – van Uitert, and 229 thousandths ahead of the No. 39 Oreca – Graff Racing of Gommendy – Capillaire – Hirschi.

Porsche, already assured of the Manufacturers' title in GTE Pro, quickly distinguished itself in the first moments of the session, with the No. 911 92 RSR of Estre – Christensen – Vanthoor, dominating during the first half of the session in 3'52 ″149.

The Bomarito – Priaulx – Tincknell trio (#67 Ford GT) then follows more than eight tenths ahead of the second #911 Porsche 93 RSR of Patrick Pilet – Earl Bamber – Nick Tandy, clocked in at 1″037.

In GTE Am, and despite an off-road excursion by Matt Campbell, the No. 911 Porsche 77 RSR – Dempsey-Proton Racing shared by the Australian driver with Christian Ried and Julien Andlauer took the lead in 3'55″304 .

The session is scheduled to resume at 18:15 p.m.
