Dragonspeed has completed its crew for the 2018-2019 season of WEC by recruiting Renger van der Zande who will join Ben Hanley and Henrik Hedman on the BR1 LMP1.
The 31-year-old Dutchman is not making his prototype debut since he competed for several seasons in the old American Prototype Challenge category. Le Mans Series andIMSA, even winning the title in 2016 for his third consecutive season at Starworks Motorsport. He will join the structure of Elton Julian, reigning champion of theELMS (under the G-Drive Racing banner) with which he started in PC in 2013.
Renger van der Zande had already moved up a category last year by competing in the IMSA in the Riley Mk30 and the Spirit of Daytona Racing Ligier JS P217 with which he finished in seventh position in the Championship, notably winning a victory. in Laguna Seca (California) with Marc Goossens.
