Richelmi: Without Lapierre, “it would be more complicated”

Stéphane Richelmi seems to have made the right choice by committing to WEC with Alpine. Next to Nicolas lapierre and Gustavo Menezes, the Monegasque has already celebrated three victories in LMP2 including that in the 24 Hours of Le Mans with the A460 n°36.

“I'm not at my optimum, despite everything, the 26-year-old Monegasque admitted to AUTOhebdo. I still have to make progress in traffic and at night. At Le Mans, I improved lap after lap and my best stint was the last. GP2 taught me a lot in terms of quickly discovering a circuit with only half an hour of testing before qualifying to get the most out of the car. These very reactive championships require you to be reactive. »

“Afterwards, honestly, if we didn't have Nico (Lapierre) with us, it would be more complicated. Gustavo (Menezes) and I have the performance, but managing all the little details that make the difference, only Nico has them at the moment”, recognized Stéphane Richelmi.
