Rigon in GTE Pro with AF Corse, Vilander passes with Bruni

Changes within the AF Corse team. Toni Vilander will be entered in 2014 in the No. 458 Ferrari 51 Italia while Davide Rigon joins the Italian team in GTE Pro at the wheel of the No. 71.

Rigon in GTE Pro with AF Corse, Vilander passes with Bruni

For the 2014 FIA season WEC, the Italian team AF Corse will enter two Ferrari 458 Italia in GTE Pro, while certainly supervising three other examples in GTE Am. As for the drivers, the trans teamalpine confirmed to us that the Finn Toni Vilander would move this year to the No. 51 car with the Italian Gianmaria Bruni replacing Giancarlo Fisichella, who left for USC to defend the colors of Risi Competizione. Last year he drove the No. 71 alongside the now new Caterham driver. F1, namely Japanese Kamui Kobayashi.

On the latter, we will find a newcomer to the team in the person of Davide Rigon, notably formerly with 8Star Motorsport (team supervised by AF Corse) in 2013 in GTE Am. His teammate has yet to be confirmed. Rigon took part in the 24 Hours of Daytona at the end of January, the first round of the 2014 United SportsCar Championship.

The FIA WEC will resume its rights on April 20 at Silverstone in England.
