Could Indianapolis join the next calendar of the WEC ? The world championshipEndurance This season, there are 6 events, one of which is already taking place in the United States, the 1 miles of Sebring. So, can a second American meeting take place on the temple ofIndycar. In any case, this is Roger Penske's wish, owner of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway depuis le 5 janvier 2020. Ce possible nouveau rendez-vous de l’Endurance coïncide avec l’arrivée cette année du Team Penske dans le championnat de WEC et surtout les débuts en 2023 du Porsche Penske Motorsport. 

The WEC soon in Indianapolis?

Present in the paddock for the second round of the WEC at Spa-Francorchamps, Roger Penske reaffirmed his desire to welcome Endurance to Indianapolis. “ We're talking about it right now, we don't have anything to announce yet, but it would be great.e,” announces the former driver and director of Team Penske.  

« I was able to talk with Frédéric Lequien (Director of the WEC, editor's note) and I told him that we might be interested. With Indianapolis, our arms are wide open: come and run, we will be ready. » Before wanting to host a round of the Endurance Championship, Roger Penske tried to bring back the Formula 1 in Indianapolis after a 7-year freelance period in the early 2000s. It is on this same track that the next Endurance round in Indianapolis could take place
