Signature wants to do more than in 2009

Specialist of car, Philippe Sinault decided last year to also launch his team into a new discipline: endurance. For a first season, Signature then decided to enter a Courage-Oreca with a Judd engine. Places of honor in the Le Mans Series and more than honorable performances at the 24 Hours of Le Mans will reward a team determined to find a place in endurance, and which wishes to progress a little more each year.

?We?re in our second year, so I consider it still about learning, underlines Philippe Sinault in the columns of AUTOhebdo. It took me three years with VW to fight for the title F3, so we still have a lot to learn. Next year, we still won't be ready, but why not in 2012? Skipping the steps has rarely been a good idea. »

This afternoon, the Signature Plus team will take the start of its second Le Mans classic. The stated objective is to finish in the top 10. With a talented crew bringing together the Belgian Vanina Ickx and the French Franck Mailleux and Pierre Ragues, this seems entirely achievable - but not easy as the competition is fierce, like the two Lola-Aston Martin official or Lola-Rebellion.
