The two Porsches are now in the lead at Silverstone, with the #1 of Brendon Hartley ahead of the #2 of Neel Jani.

Silverstone: Porsche dominates after 2 hours

Porsche domine cette première partie de course à Silverstone. Après deux heures, la 919 Hybrid n°1 de Brendon Hartley is in control with more than 40 seconds ahead of the n°2 of Neel Jani.

Audi a rencontré plusieurs soucis dans la deuxième heure. L’Audi n°7 a perdu le contact avec les Porsche suite à un tête-à-queue de Benoît Tréluyer qui a chuté en troisième position, tandis que la R18 n°8 de Lucas di Grassi a chuté derrière les Toyota TS050 Hybrid d’Anthony Davidson et Kamui Kobayashi following a bad stop. The latter is one lap behind the leader and shows a lack of performance of several seconds per lap.

G-Drive Racing remains at the head of LMP2 with its Oreca 05 driven by René Rast which now precedes the Gibson 015S of Strakka Racing, Danny Watts having just taken the advantage over the Ligier JS P2 of RGR Sport by Morand of Ricardo Gonzalez.

AF Corse keeps control in GTE Pro with the Ferrari 488 GTE of Sam Bird which precedes theAston Martin Vantage n°95 of Marco Sorensen and the Ford GTs of Marino Franchitti and Billy Johnson. Khaled Al Qubaisi maintains control in GTE Am with the 911 RSR from Abu Dhabi Proton Racing.
