Soheil Ayari is participating for the first time in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1997, behind the wheel of a Chrysler Viper GTS-R. He discovered with amazement the magic of Le Mans and fell in love with the classic Le Mans. “Le Mans is, of all the races, certainly the most beautiful and by far the benchmark in endurance: the starting line, the Mulsannes, everything that happens during the 24 Hours week. Add to this a loyal and passionate audience and you have the reasons why I come back every year. »

In ten participations, the driver of the ORECA 03-Nissan has forged unforgettable memories, but the story is certainly not over for him. “I think I would remember 2004 where we finished 4th overall at the wheel of a Pescarolo, but also 2009 and 2010 with Team ORECA, confides the native of Aix-les-Bains. These three years in particular, I had a lot of fun. When the race goes without the slightest difficulty and everything is perfect, then it's just happiness. »

Soheil Ayari will seek victory in the LMP2 category this year, at the wheel of the ORECA-03 powered by Nissan. “I had asked Hugues to race with the 908 but the team was already formed, he regrets. The choice of LM P2 suits me perfectly because I am certain of being able to play at the forefront in this category. We have everything we need to have a superb race.”
