Audi, Peugeot group shot in the middle of the grid

Following Matthieu Lahaye's accident, race management put an end to qualifying before the end of the session. Peugeot , who had planned to launch his 908 at the last moment to avoid traffic, will start at the heart of the peloton. The first lioness (908 n°7 of the Marc Gené-Anthony Davidson-Alexander Wurz trio) will only start 13th, the 908 n°9 of the Sébastien crew Bourdais-simon pagenaud-Pedro Lamy is 18th. The No. 8 shared by Stéphane Sarrazin with Franck Montagny and Nicolas Minassian was not even able to complete a timed lap.

Pole thus goes to the No. 18 R1 of Romain Dumas, Mike Rockenfeller and Timo Bernhard who was in charge of qualifying. It precedes the No. 2 Audi of André Lotterer (whose teammate is Marcel Fässler and Benoît Tréluyer) and the No. 3 of Tom Kristensen (who shares the car with Allan McNish and Dindo Capello).

In LMP2, the best time goes to the No. 01 HPD ARX 42 of Strakka Racing, which will start from 10th position, ahead of the No. 03 Oreca 46 Nissan of TDS Racing.

The best time of the GTE Pro is to be credited to the Ferrari F458 Italia n°71 from the AF Corse team (Jaime Melo-Toni Vilander) which will start in front of the F458 n°66 from JMW Motorsport (Robert Bell-James Walker).

The start of the 1000 km of Spa-Francorchamps will be given at 14 p.m.
