Mike Conway set the best time in FP1 at the 6h of Spa in the #7 Toyota. The first Porsche is only a few thousandths away.

Toyota and Porsche neck and neck in EL1 at Spa

Toyota Gazoo Racing set the best time in the first practice session for the 6 Hours of Spa. Mike conway established a time of 1'57''940 on the Belgian track at the wheel of the No. 7 Toyota, only 36 thousandths ahead of the Porsche n ° 2 of Brendon Hartley.

The #919 1 Hybrid of Neel Jani completed the top three by almost a second, still ahead of the #050 TS8 Hybrid by a few thousandths. Sébastien Buemi. The No. 9 of Stéphane Sarrazin with the low-drag kit followed 1”7 behind the benchmark.

Alpine at the head of LMP2

Gustavo Menezes was responsible for setting the best LMP2 time with a time of 2'04''171 on theAlpine No. 36 which preceded the G-Drive Racing of Alex Lynn by a tenth, while the No. 25 of CEFC Manor TRS Racing of Simon Trummer completed the leading trio in the category.

In GTE Pro, the Ford GTs share the first places with the Porsche 911 RSR. Andy Priaulx set the benchmark for the category with a time of 2'16''802, ahead of the No. 3 of Frédéric Makowiecki by 91 tenths. The #66 of Billy Jonsson followed in 3rd position ahead of the #92 of Michael Christensen. Matteo Cairoli was responsible for setting the best time in GTE Am with a lap completed in 2:18 in the #089 Dempsey Proton Racing Porsche.

The second practice session will be contested from 16:45 p.m.
