Toyota finishes the Prologue in the lead

Le Toyota Gazoo Racing ne pouvait pas terminer le Prologue du Championnat du monde d’endurance (WEC) in Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium) without having conducted a session. That's what Sébastien Buemi achieved during the fourth session, completing a lap in 2'04''669.

The Swiss, at the wheel of the new Toyota GR010 Hybrid Hypercar, beat Filipe Albuquerque's Oreca 07 LM P2 by two tenths. Eleventh this morning, theAlpine A480 of Matthieu Vaxiviere completes the podium this afternoon (+0''670).

En GTE Pro, tout s’est bien déroulé pour Porsche, avec les deux 911 RSR aux avant-postes à l’instar de la matinée ; toutefois, Kevin Estre a échangé sa place de leader avec Richard Lietz, devant la Ferrari by James Calado and the only official Corvette.

In GTE Am, the advantage went to Luxembourger Dylan Pereira, who benefited from a brand new chassis ofAston Martin Vantage the day after an accident at Raidillon.

Once again, the day was marked by accidents. The Oreca 07 of Racing Team Nederland and the Ferrari 488 GTE of Iron Lynx remained in their respective garages after an early morning outing. After the break, it was Roberto Lacorte (Cetilar Racing) who damaged his Ferrari in the Belgian Ardennes.

Now the teams will learn from these training sessions ahead of the 6 Hours of Spa, the opening event of the 2021 season, on May 1.
