On January 15, the Toyota Gazoo Racing had announced a change in its organizational chart with the replacement of Pascal Vasselon in his role of technical director by David Floury, who took over the position with an interim status. The Japanese manufacturer then justified this decision by a reorganization process which should result in a new mission for Pascal Vasselon.

Toyota gave more details this Thursday, February 22. The French engineer thus inherits the position of vice-president of strategic development of motorsport within the TGR.

« Pascal will use his extensive motorsport and engineering experience to contribute to TOYOTA GAZOO Racing's circuit racing strategy, working closely with Masaya Kaji, General Manager of BR GT Commercial Department at GAZOO Racing Company.

Pascal's new role as TGR's Vice President of Motorsport Strategic Development begins immediately and sees him contribute to the planning and development of future global motorsport businesses, with a focus on carbon neutrality and hydrogen technology. As part of this strategic role, he will lead the representation of TOYOTA GAZOO Racing to relevant governing bodies around the world. », Indicates Toyota in its press release.

Toyota Gazoo Racing Europe (TGR-E) therefore confirms David Floury as its new technical director, a role he has held on an interim basis since the beginning of January.
