Iron Lynx distinguished itself during the two days of the Prologue of WEC in Sebring. On the difficult Florida track, the Italian team performed the best in the second practice session on Saturday afternoon with its trio composed of Claudio Schiavoni, Giancarlo Fisichella and Matteo Cresoni in the GTE Am category. “The Prologue was positive for us this weekend, welcomed Andrea Piccini, the team principal. It was the first time the team and many of our drivers had been here, but we found a solid balance with the car straight away. To get the drivers familiar with the track, we mainly worked on long runs, and both cars were consistent.

“Matteo and Giancarlo have experience on this circuit, which allowed Claudio to get up to speed as quickly as possible and make big improvements, continues the Transalpine. On the second day we tried some new settings, finding a good rhythm and cadence, with the riders improving throughout the session. » Beyond this crew, it is the entire trans structurealpine which was competitive during this Saturday since the Iron Dames took the third time in this session in GTE Am, while Prema, supported by Iron Lynx, set the best time overall through Robert Kubica.

“Overall the first two days were very positive, without any problems, and we are now looking forward to the race, concludes Andrea Piccini. We expect the conditions to be very different as it has been much colder this weekend, so we will have to make the right decisions on tire strategy. »
