A single Glickenhaus at the 8 Hours of Portimão

While Team Cameron Glickenhaus is set to take part in his first test this monthEndurance of 30 hours on the MotorLand of Aragon (Spain), it confirmed this week that there would only be one 007 LMH at the start of the 8 Hours of Portimão (June 13), second round of the 2021 season of WEC. A meeting which should mark the competitive debut of the American hypercar.

Information confirming the fears that we shared with you in our WEC Guide (Ah n°2307).

If no explanation has been provided, it is an understatement to say that the team is chasing time. Furthermore, there is a conflict of dates that week which was not planned with the Detroit Grand Prix, fourth round of theIMSA, in which Olivier Pla and Pipo Derani take part, respectively in the No. 05 Acura ARX-60 of Meyer Shank Racing and the No. 31 Cadillac DPi-VR of Action Express Racing.

It remains to be seen which three of the five drivers available and under contract with Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus will be requisitioned at the Alagarve Autodrome. As a reminder, this is between Romain Dumas, Ryan Briscoe, Richard Westbrook, Gustavo Menezes and Franck Mailleux.
