Video. The Spa lap record for the Porsche 919 Hybrid

Monday, Porsche established a new lap record on the Spa-Francorchamps circuit (Belgium) thanks to a extensively modified Porsche 919 Hybrid both aerodynamically (front end, rear wing) and mechanically (power increased to 1 horsepower). Neel jani completed the 7,004 km of the Ardennes route in barely 1'41"770, almost eight tenths faster than Lewis Hamilton on his Mercedes F1 during the 2017 Belgian Grand Prix.

Neel Jani recorded a maximum peak speed of 359 km/h in a straight line as well asan incredible average speed of 245,61 km/h during his record lap.
