WEC – The 919 Porsche 2015 Hybrid rolled

Only a few days later the final release of the first version of the Porsche 919 Hybrid at Motorland Aragon, Spain, the 2015 version of the German LM P1 carried out its debugging today in Germany, in Weissach, on the private track of the Stuttgart manufacturer. A task fulfilled by Marc Lieb, who won his first victory in prototypes on November 30 in São Paulo, alongside Romain Dumas and Neel Jani, for what was also the first success of the 919 Hybrid.

“The roll-out of a new car is always an important milestone awaited with great impatience by everyone involved in the project, emphasized technical director Alex Hitzinger. It was our goal to have the Porsche 919 Hybrid which will be rampant in 2015, and we achieved it. »

The first real test session for the 919 2015 Hybrid, a very significant evolution of the LM P1-H seen this year, is scheduled for January 18 to 22 on the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi. As a reminder, two cars will be lined up over the entire WEC, at the wheel of which we will once again find Romain Dumas, Neel Jani, Marc Lieb, Timo Bernhard, Brendon Hartley and Mark Webber. A third car will support the 6 Hours of Spa (May 2) and the 24 Hours of Le Mans (June 13-14), on board which will be particularly severe Nico Hulkenberg.
