WEC / Le Mans – Andrea Belicchi stays with Rebellion

Rebellion Racing has almost completed its crew for the WEC since the Swiss team has just confirmed Andrea Belicchi who will join Nick Heidfled, Nicolas Cheers, Mathias Beche and Dominik Kraihamer on one of the two Lola B12/60 CoupesToyota entered in the WEC Prologue on March 28 and 29 at Paul Ricard, as well as in the 6 Hours of Silverstone, the first round of the Championship contested on April 20, before the R-One takes over.

Andrea Belicchi is preparing to compete in his seventh season with Rebellion Racing. “The Championship promises to be exciting with these new regulations, these new cars and our new R-One LMP1. I followed the development of the car and was involved in certain phases”, comments the 37-year-old Italian. Bart Hayden, Team Manager of Rebellion Racing, believes that this contract extension with Andrea Belicchi can only be positive for the team. “He has always been a key member of our team. He is fast, reliable, loyal and he shares our team spirit. His riding style will combine well with the new regulations and we are confident that it will help us achieve the best results. »

Fabio Leimer appears to be the final driver in line to complete the Rebellion Racing line-up. The reigning GP2 Series champion will be present with the Swiss team during the Prologue contested this week at Le Castellet.
