WEC / Le Mans – The Rebellion Racing program

As we announced to you in issue 2004 of AUTOhebdo, Rebellion Racing has made some changes to the crew of the #13 R-One. Dominik Kraihamer will be joined in the No. 13 R-One by Alexandre Imperatori and Daniel Abt who will replace Fabio Leimer and Andrea Belicchi. Mathias Beche, Nick Heidfeld and Nicolas Cheers will remain in control of No. 12.

“I will be driving in a closed cockpit for the first time while sharing the wheel with two teammates and I will also make my debut in the 24 Hours of Le Mans (June 13 and 14)…”, declared the resident of Audi Sport Abt in Formula E. “My GP2 experience (in 2013 with ART GP and in 2014 with Hilmer Motorsport) will definitely come in handy. »

Rebellion Racing also clarified that it would miss the first two rounds of the WEC, at Silverstone (April 12) and at Spa (May 2). The Swiss team must make numerous changes with its new AER turbo engine which will replace the block Toyota. “We are a little behind this year, but we are confident that our 1 LMP2015s will be more competitive”, added Bart Hayden, Team Manager of Rebellion Racing.
