WEC – A BR 01 takes part in the 6 Hours of Bahrain

The final of WEC in Bahrain, on November 21, will see 32 competitors scrapped. To the 31 cars registered for the year, will be added the BR 01 designed by Paolo Catone, which is currently shining in European Le Mans Series. A car lined up under the AF Racing banner, but operated by the Russian team SMP Racing.

Very lively on the European scene, Boris Rotenberg's troops were keen to demonstrate the potential of their LM P2 against the world benchmarks in the category. The crew will notably be made up of Marseillais Nicolas Minassian and Russian Mikhail Aleshin. Two drivers whose top speed no longer needs to be demonstrated, who will be supported by an amateur whose identity has not yet been revealed.

Until then, three events not to be missed await SMP Racing. Firstly, the 6 Hours of Fuji (this weekend) and the 6 Hours of Shanghai (November 1), where the team will try to extend its lead at the top of the WEC GTE Am rankings. But also, on October 18 in Estoril, the closing round of theELMS, where the objective will indeed be to offer the BR 01 its first victory.
