WEC – Vasselon: “No reason to completely review the concept”

How many new elements appeared on the car during the winter?
As the regulations have not been changed and given our performances throughout the 2014 season, we had no reason to completely review our concept... I would say that 80 to 85% of the parts are new. Almost all, except the chassis. Despite a very strong family resemblance with the 2014 car, the bodywork is completely new. The other major project affected the hybrid system… Last year, we were not really at 6MJ.

Have you considered upgrading to 8MJ?
We could, in certain cases, have evolved in the ERS <8MJ class. But in certain circumstances, notably linked to the outside temperature, we would not have been able to achieve it... We considered that it was more judicious to stay in this class. We hesitated for a long time and I understand that Porsche did too.
