15 roadshows for the 2019 French GP including a premiere at Disneyland

Hearing an atmospheric V8 between Mickey and the princesses at Disneyland Park in Chessy (Seine-et-Marne), no, this is not from a fairy tale. On Saturday April 6 and Sunday April 7, the Grand Prix de France Public Interest Group (GIP) will organize a unique roadshow in the theme park.

As was already the case in 2018, a Lotus E20 from 2012 (decorated with the livery of the Renault RS 19) as well as a Renault Sport RS01 will delight the public free of charge with dynamic demonstrations (accelerations, skidding, etc.). Spectators will also enjoya village with simulators F1 in virtual reality on a jack, pit stop workshops and reflex tests like real drivers.

The drivers in fact, they will be affordable. The holders Daniel Ricciardo, Nico Hulkenberg as well as the reservist Sergey sirotkin will be behind the wheel and will take part in the game of autographs and selfies. However, their schedule has not yet been specified.

In addition to this launch at Disneyland, 14 other roadshows are planned across France, a sharp increase compared to eight events already organized in 2018. The last roadshow will be an opportunity for the town of Saint-Raphaël (Var) to hold a sound and light show at night, on the seaside.

“This roadshow is true a tour de force bringing Formula 1 closer to its fans, believes Christian Estrosi, President of the GIP Grand Prix de France. This tour continues to develop on the national territory with, this year, the exceptional participation of 15 cities from six different regions.

I warmly thank the Presidents of the South Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes regions, the partners who are accompanying us on this tour, as well as the mayors of the 14 municipalities who welcome us for this unique event in the world. »
