The position of Ferrari is debated. Max Mosley, President of the FIA, keeps repeating that the F1 does not need Ferrari – the only team present forever – to survive.
On the other hand, Bernie Ecclestone, in charge of commercial rights, cannot imagine a championship without the most successful team.
The closing date for registration is May 29. So there are only a few days left for the FIA to change its position or confirm its decision and see if Ferrari, Toyota, Red Bull and Toro Rosso will be among the contenders for the thirteen available places.
