Max Verstappen: “It’s a good start”

Max Verstappen qualified 2nd on the starting grid for the Bahrain GP. The Dutchman, very comfortable throughout the weekend, gave in to Charles Leclerc. Nevertheless, the new world champion was satisfied with a good start for this first round of the year. “ In Q2, things weren't too bad for me. But in Q3, I had more difficulty with the balance of the car. Nonetheless, it's a good session. We have a good car for racing, which is the most important thing. It's a good day overall, a good start.«

King of pole positions last year, Max Verstappen played down the drama of having missed pole in favor of Ferrari, whose work he praised. “ Although our car wasn't fantastic, it wasn't bad either.
