Eric Boullier close to Renault F1

Since the announcement of the partnership between Renault F1 and Genii Capital, discussions are well underway to implement the team?s new organizational chart. During a visit to the factoryenstone, Gérard Lopez would have suggested that Eric Boullier would occupy one of the key positions of the team, certainly that of ?team principal?.

Eric Boullier is the general manager of Gravity, a young pilot management company owned by Lopez. Christian Vietoris, Jérôme d?Ambrosio and Adrien Tambay are among the drivers managed by Gravity. Previously, Boullier held the position of sporting and technical director of Dams, Jean-Paul Driot's team. From GP2 to Formula BMW via A1 GP, he has built up solid experience, even if he has never been directly involved in F1.

Boullier did not hide the discussions with Renault F1 from the British press. If these discussions were to materialize, he would take the position of team director, while Jean-François Caubet would evolve towards a role closer to that currently occupied by Bernard Rey.
