Ferrari no longer interested in Alonso

Sergio Marchionne, the president of Ferrari, indicated that the Team was no longer interested in Fernando Alonso at a time when the future of the Asturian with McLaren-Honda seems more and more complicated.

“Alonso could very well have shown his desire to come back, but he would not have found a favorable response from us. We are not interested. For those whom it concerns Verstappen, nothing has yet been signed. You will know more at the end of the year. said Sergio Marchionne.

Max Verstappen has been mooted to join Scuderia Ferrari to replace Kimi Räikkönen, but Red Bull strongly denied these speculations. The Maranello team is also closely following the progress of Charles Leclerc en F2, the Prema driver integrated into the Ferrari Driver Academy dominating the discipline.

Fernando Alonso defended the colors of Scuderia Ferrari from 2010 to 2014 without managing to secure a third title.
