They are often inseparable on the track this season. Pierre Gasly (Alpha Tauri) and Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) often qualified in a pocket handkerchief in 2021, will again occupy practically one and the same territory on Sunday at the start of the Dutch Grand Prix.

Pierre Gasly even speaks of « (her) small victory” by being the first competitor following the untouchable Mercedes and poleman Max Verstappen (Red Bull).
Few overruns?
For his part, Charles Leclerc is realistic. Fifth is good, but he is already thinking about the race. If he wants to overtake Pierre Gasly, it will almost certainly be when the lights go out. “80% of the event will be played at the start, the remaining 20% will be dedicated to strategy. Afterwards it is certain that if there are red flags at the right time it can change everything. »

Pierre Gasly goes so far as to say that he “There will be a lot of Safety-Car and Virtual Safety-Car”. “It will be a very long GP. It won't be easy but the position on the grid will be all the more important. »
