4 days after the terrible accident he suffered during the first lap of the Bahrain Grand Prix, Romain Grosjean made a welcomed and popular return to the Sakhir paddock.
Released from the Bahrain military hospital on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. local time, Grosjean has since provided regular updates via social media. In particular, he found his wife Marion, who came to join him there, and have lunch with his teammate Kevin Magnussen.

Thursday evening, the Frenchman returned to Sakhir where the reunion with his Haas team was moving to say the least. Grosjean also spoke with Dr Ian Roberts, F1 doctor, and Alan van der Merwe, driver of the FIA medical car, who had responded very quickly to the scene of the accident.

The Haas driver finally met the track marshals of the Bahrain International Circuit, including firefighters Joby Mathew and Thaer Ali Taher who helped to reduce the intensity of the flames surrounding the damaged Haas.
