Grosjean and Magnussen still in contact

The results are positive for Haas at the German GP since Romain Grosjean et Kevin Magnussen completed the Top 10 at the end of a particularly tricky race due to the rain (7th and 8th after the penalty imposed on the Alfa Romeos). However, the outcome of the weekend could have been much worse since the two VF19s still clashed when the Frenchman attempted to overtake the Dane at the hairpin.

“He will never learn, commented the former GP2 champion on his radio before calming down after the finish. I think we're still going to end up in Steiner's (Team Principal) office, but I think I was ahead this time. »

Kevin Magnussen also defended his maneuver, fortunately without consequences for the American team.

“We do not have a rule that prohibits us from confronting each other, says the Dane. It was made clear to us that we couldn't touch each other and I don't see why that had to happen today. I was clearly inside and he chose to turn on me. I don't know what he was doing. »

Günther Steiner must have been on edge in the pits after seeing his two drivers retire on the first lap of the British GP following a collision.

“The result seems better than it is, confided the team director. We didn't have any speed, but we managed to stay out of trouble. We did the best we could with what we had. »

Haas climbs to 8th in the Constructors' championship, tied with Alfa Romeo following the penalties imposed on Kimi Räikkönen and Antonio Giovinazzi ahead of next weekend's Hungarian GP.
