At the US GP this weekend in Austin, the Stewart-Haas Racing will do things in a big way by offering Romain Grosjean et Kevin Magnussen to take the wheel of the Ford Mustang entered in the Cup Series.
“I don’t really know what to expect., confided the former GP2 champion. I still expect to have to brake a little earlier than on a F1. We will also see what the engine response time is when accelerating. In any case, I can't wait to ride it. The noise seems to be great and I expect to have a great experience. It will be sensational and with Tony Stewart to advise us. I think the Ford GT1 that I drove in the FIA GT1 Championship is the car closest to what I will discover. »

Kevin Magnussen shares his French teammate's impatience, the Dane having never had the opportunity to drive a car either Nascar.
“I have no idea what this is going to be like. I'm pretty sure it will be very different from anything I've ever driven at the Circuit of the Americas. The experience promises to be very interesting. Nascar is a very famous racing car and I have always wanted to try one. They usually race on ovals, but they also do road races. I have already driven a GT2 and a DTM, but they must have much more downforce than a Nascar car”, added the Dane.
The team of Gene Haas, the owner of Haas F1 Team, and Tony Stewart is having a great campaign here while the American structure will participate in the Fort Worth event also held in Texas. The three-time Nascar champion will be present at the US GP to assist the drivers with their new experience.
