What was your ambition when you started this crazy adventure aimed at revolutionizing technical regulations?

It wasn't about revolutionizing anything, just seeing if we could create a team and use resources to improve the sport which was then very influenced by the type of cars we had. We wanted to understand what we had, and what could be done to improve the competition. I have been involved in car design for many years, as has Jason Somerville (FIA aero manager. Editor’s note), Nikolas Tombazis (Oenology car FIA. Editor’s note) and Pat Symonds (FOM technical manager.
