Hamilton made the right choice at Silverstone

Lewis Hamilton scored the 46th pole of his career, his 8th of the season out of 9 attempts, to start from first place on the grid for the British GP at Silverstone. The Briton set a time of 1’32”248 in Q3 to beat his rival Nico Rosberg by a tenth.

“It’s always a special day when you get pole at home.”, commented Lewis Hamilton who shone for the 3rd time in this exercise at Silverstone. “I’m really motivated to see so many people come out to support me this weekend. »

However, Lewis Hamilton seemed uncertain since he changed his settings just before the start of qualifying. « It hadn't been the quietest weekend so far.. I had ups and downs with adjustments, balance and riding”, recognized the double world champion. “I made changes to the car before qualifying which may not have been the most spectacular on a flying lap, but which should prove good for the race. »
