A great step has been taken, and all that was promised has been delivered. There are a few minor reliability issues currently that need to be addressed, but no major issues. Simple annoyances, nothing more. Our relations are in good shape. It seems that under the leadership of Rémi (Taffin. Editor's note), Renault has rediscovered the desire to return to the competitive position that it once had. But we cannot speculate on the progress made by Ferrari et Mercedes during the winter.

You speak of “good relations”, does this mean that the wounds are definitively healed with Renault?

People have short memories in this business, and that's fine in this case. Already last year we saw a huge difference compared to 2015 and the work continued over the winter. I am delighted that Renault has its own team because, from now on, the firm can rely on internal and direct feedback, and no longer only on that coming from Red Bull...
