Jaime Alguersuari announces his retirement

It was during a press conference organized in Madrid that the Spaniard Jaime Alguersuari has confirmed his retirement from motorsport at just 25 years old. The native of Barcelona in Catalonia had started in car in Italy before heading to Great Britain and the British F3 in 2008, a championship he won that same year with Team Carlin.

As early as 2009, Alguersuari replaced Frenchman Sébastien during the season. Bourdais in Toro Rosso before continuing two additional seasons until 2011 alongside the Swiss Sébastien Buemi.
