Jean-Eric Vergne satisfied with his race

At the end of a complicated weekend, Jean-Eric Vergne does not hide his satisfaction. Only 14th on the grid, the Frenchman did not benefit from a Toro Rosso in full possession of his means, forced to use an old engine since Saturday to avoid receiving a penalty for exceeding the engine quota authorized per season (five). Despite these handicaps, Vergne managed to climb to 9th place, but remains subject to a penalty, his very authoritarian overtaking of his compatriot Romain Grosjean braking for turn 1 being under investigation. The penalty will fall a few moments later, with Vergne ultimately finishing 10th.

" I am satisfied. It's the best we could do, indicated the Frenchman after the race. We had many battles, the race was fun and very eventful. I wanted to attack Romain, he was surprised and braked very late too and we had to compromise. But I think there won't be any problem. » The Tricolor is ahead of his teammate Daniil Kvyat, only 15th and also admitted before departure on Canal + that he was confident about his presence in F1 in 2015.
