After being imprisoned on January 4, Jos Verstappen today found freedom after 16 days of incarceration. The former Arrows pilot was imprisoned following a complaint filed by his ex-partner who accused the latter of trying to murder him by trying to run him over with a car.
Nevertheless, the Roermond court decided to release the former pilot of F1 faced with the lack of evidence resulting from the medical expertise carried out on the victim. The suspect's lawyers managed to highlight the lack of evidence concerning the attempted homicide and their client's responsibility in the attack to request his release which was approved by the court. Jos Verstappen is still far from being out of the woods as the investigation remains under investigation. The Dutchman had already previously been sentenced to three months in prison for having threatened his ex-wife on multiple occasions. The person concerned has still not agreed to make a statement to the press.
