Kubica will keep one foot in F1 with Alfa Romeo

If Robert Kubica was unable to experience his return in F1 than a season at Williams, the winner of the 2008 Canadian GP will remain in the discipline this year by serving as a reserve driver with Alfa Romeo Racing.

The 35-year-old Pole benefited from a partnership with the oil tanker PKN Orlen from the same territory. The company has signed a contract with Alfa Romeo for several years.

“I am very happy to begin this new chapter of my career by joining Alfa Romeo Racing, comments the man who played for BMW Sauber F1 Team between 2006 and 2009. This team holds a special place in my heart and I am delighted to see that there are still faces that I know after all these years in Hinwil. The time and circumstances are obviously different, but I am convinced that I will find the same determination and the same thirst for success and I intend to help Alfa Romeo Racing take the next step. »

Alfa Romeo will continue to evolve with Kimi Räikkönen and Antonio Giovinazzi as starting drivers this year.
